An icon of early expressionist cinema, Fritz Lang's Metropolis (1938) has provided inspiration for a multitude of filmmakers who have referenced this work through quotation and homage. In the spirit of today's re-sampling and sequencing culture, Malaysian artist Edward Loh's interactive hybrid METROPOLIS maintains the original aural and visual ambience of this early film whilst simultaneously deconstructing it, allowing the viewer to make comparisons.
