Over $5000 worth of prizes are awarded by the photographic industry to the best works in various categories. Now in its sixth year, the Summer Salon includes around 200 artists from all over Australia working in analogue and digital media. The Salon provides an excellent opportunity to exhibit work in a professional and reputable context before the largest audience for contemporary photography in Australia. Thousands of visitors attend the event each year and the high regard of art and mainstream media recommend the Salon as one of the largest and most renowned photographic award exhibitions in the country. This year, the Salon includes an all new interactive multimedia component entitled 'Small Bytes' which is presented in association with Experimenta Media Arts. Small Bytes entries are exhibited at the CCP's E-Media CD-Rom Gallery with hardware and software prizes awarded in five categories.
