CCP’s Members share a deep interest in photography, and actively keep up with the medium, both through the engagement we put on at the gallery, and independently. Many Members are photographers themselves, who are drawn to our CCP Membership program for the community, and opportunities to develop their practice that come with it. For this reason, we were excited to invite the Members to take part in CCP’s Still Life exhibition series, which has previously shown inspired lockdown content from CCP’s Volunteer and Salon Prizewinner communities.
The diversity in our Membership pool is reflected in the diversity of the material we received back from our Members. Some responded to the iconography of lockdown with specificity and a wink, some took the opportunity to escape to otherworldly dimensions through abstraction and colour. Some gave us classic still life imagery, some stretched and played with the form. We’re lucky and excited to be able to share these still lives from our Members.
